Turkmen Delegation Holds Bilateral Talks at Brussels Investor Forum

Led by Batyr Annaev, Deputy General Director of Turkmenistan's Transport and Communications Agency, a Turkmen delegation participated in bilateral meetings during the European Union's Global Gateway Investors Forum in Brussels, Belgium.

The discussions took place with Myriam Ferran, Deputy Director-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission (DG INTPA), and Regis Pierre Cazenave, Director General for Europe of S2 Grupo, as reported by representatives from the Business Turkmenistan (BT) online platform who attended the forum.

During the meeting with Myriam Ferran, the sides explored potential cooperation in various infrastructure projects to strengthen ties across Eurasia.

Batyr Annaev showcased Turkmenistan's transport capabilities, emphasizing national projects and corridors. He highlighted the importance of collaboration in successfully implementing these projects, with a specific focus on digitalization to enhance the country's transport potential.

In discussions with Regis Pierre Cazenave, CEO of S2 Grupo's European division, the focus shifted to topics like the digitalization of the transportation system, cybersecurity, and the development of a national strategy in these areas. Cazenave expressed the company's readiness to collaborate with Turkmenistan, recognizing the country's proactive approach to digital transformation and its successful initiatives in this realm.

The Investors Forum of the European Union's Global Gateway initiative, held from January 29-30 in Brussels, aimed to convert the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor into a competitive, sustainable, smart, and efficient multimodal route, connecting the two regions within a 15-day timeframe.
