Döwletli Depe private company based in the city of Turkmenabat in Turkmenistan’s eastern province of Lebap has exported more than 140 tons of onions harvested in the country to Kazakhstan.

The company owned by entrepreneur Ikhtiyar Kalandarov has managed to establish exports despite its recent start, the Ashgabat-based Rysgal newspaper reports.

The company signs sales contracts with local farmers in the country's provinces to buy vegetables and exports them to Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

The company also exported cabbage to foreign countries in March and April this year. Döwletli Depe's future plans include export of melon and grapes.
