Turkmen Company Garagum and Chinese CNEC Sign Cooperation Memorandum

The Turkmen economic society Garagum and the Chinese company CNEC (China Nuclear Industry Fifth Construction Co., Ltd.) signed a Memorandum of cooperation in the chemical industry. Representatives announced the signing during the international exhibition Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan - 2024, which took place from November 3 to 5 in Ashgabat.

Garagum, located in the Ruhabat residential complex in Ashgabat, registered in 1992 and has become one of the first and leading producers of nonwoven materials in Turkmenistan, successfully exporting its products to international markets.

Garagum Nonwoven, a subsidiary of Garagum, has established itself as a leader in Central Asia in producing composite nonwoven materials, including spunbond, meltblown, and spunmelt. The company also manufactures finished products such as masks, aprons, and coveralls.

CNEC, a member of the China Nuclear Engineering & Construction Corporation Limited (CNEC) and affiliated with the China National Nuclear Corporation, specializes in national defense, nuclear energy, and industrial construction projects. This partnership represents a significant step in strengthening collaboration between Turkmenistan and China in the chemical industry.
