Turkmen Company Erkin Miweçilik Harvests 4-5 Tons of Apples Daily

Turkmenistan-based Erkin Miweçilik harvest 4 to 5 tons of apples daily and shipped to retail outlets in the country, the country’s Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

Erkin Miweçilik private company, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), is located in Sakarchage district of Mary province. It operates 44 hectares of land with apple orchards.

The company's orchards grow apples of five different varieties. The seedlings of the apples were imported from abroad, according to the report.

Each apple tree at the field yields an average of 20-25 kilograms of fruit.
