Turkmen Company Ak Hünji Starts Polystyrene Seedling Tray Production

Turkmen company Ak Hünji this year started producing polystyrene trays for growing seedlings in greenhouses, the country’s official media reported on Wednesday.

Polystyrene seedling trays are widely used around the world for germination of seedlings from seeds in greenhouses and for growing leafy vegetables on artificial environments without soil.

The new products are designed to meet the demand of the growing number of greenhouse farms in the country that are adopting advanced hydroponic vegetable growing technologies, according to the report.

The company aims to produce the trays in various configurations that are most in demand in Turkmen greenhouses.

Founded in 2009, Ak hünji is one of the leading producers of insulating and decorative materials made of expanded polystyrene, as well as sandwich panels in the country.
