Turkmen chess players take part in the West Asian Championship in Kyrgyzstan

On the coast of Lake Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan), in the Solemar Arena, the Western Asian Chess Championship is being held.

More than 280 players from Bangladesh, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan take part in the competition.

Japanese drummers Ooedodaiko performed at the opening ceremony. Singer Tamga traditionally sang the Kyrgyz chess anthem, Sport.kg reports with reference to the Kyrgyz Chess Union.
