The men's and women's 3x3 basketball teams of Turkmenistan are preparing for the V Islamic Solidarity Games, announced the “Mir” TV and Radio Broadcasting Company. Trainings of the national teams are held in the Ashgabat Olympic village.

The V Islamic Solidarity Games will be held on August 9-18, 2022 in the city of Konya (Türkiye).
Teams of Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Suriname and Sudan will compete with the Turkmenistan men's 3x3 basketball team in group “D”.
The women's team will play in group “D” with the national teams of Azerbaijan, Indonesia and Mali.
Basketball competitions will be held in the “Karatay” sports complex.
