Turkmen athletes won 13 medals of various standards at the Asian Sambo Championship in the Tashkent. The athletes were awarded - 2 gold, 2 silver and 9 bronze awards.
The winners of the gold medal were Mohammed Kossekov (64 kg), who competed in the sport sambo discipline, and Charymurad Annakurbanov (98 kg) in the combat sambo discipline. "Silver" - for Uzakova Rano (74 kg) and Ivadullaev Babadzhan (over 98 kg) in combat sambo.
Bronze awards for the Turkmen national team were brought - among women - Nazarova Aziza (50 kg), Nurjanov Rushana (54 kg), Aydogdyeva Madina (59 kg), Krovyakova Violetta (65 kg), Muhammadova Jakhan (80 kg), as well as Tanriberdiev Yusup (58 kg), Agaev Rejepnur (up to 71 kg), Madaminov Jovlanbek (88 kg) in combat sambo and Esgerov Ruslan (98 kg) in sports sambo.
In total, 22 athletes represented Turkmenistan at the Asian Championship. The Turkmen delegation also included the chairman of the National Martial Arts Federation Alai Niyazmengliev, the trainers - Shohrat and Nurmurad Annamuhammedov, Yanar Khojamuhammedov.
