Turkmen Ambassador to Belgium Meets European Energy Research Alliance Secretary-General

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov met with Secretary-General of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) in Brussels on Wednesday.

The meeting discussed potential cooperation between the EERA and research institutes of Turkmenistan, which are actively engaged in the development of low-carbon technologies, according to the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Belgium.

The Secretary-General, for his part, emphasized the great enthusiasm for joint initiatives and knowledge sharing in the field of energy research and innovation.

Furthermore, taking into account the global trend related to the Paris Agreement and the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions, the parties considered strategies for cooperation to successfully achieve the climate goals of both sides.

The European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) is a network of research organizations and universities united to collaborate and coordinate energy research. EERA was established in 2008 and is a partnership between more than 250 research organizations from 30 countries.
