Turkmen Airlines made its first flight Ashgabat  Ho Chi Minh City

“Turkmenistan” Airlines made the first direct flight from Ashgabat to Ho Chi Minh Tan Son Nhat Airport, opening a new route between Turkmenistan and Vietnam, reports VTC News.

Flight T5-655, aboard a Boeing 777-200LR, landed at Tan Son Nhut International Airport around 1:30 a.m. after a more than 9-hour flight from Ashgabat. The Turkmen airline plans to operate two weekly flights to Ho Chi Minh City until October 27, 2024.

The opening of direct flights between Ashgabat and Ho Chi Minh City will permit passengers from Vietnam to make connecting flights to countries such as the UK, Germany, Italy, Russia and Türkiye through the Turkmen capital.

The new route is expected to boost trade and tourism between the two countries.
