Turkmen Agricultural Institute entered the international ranking of universities

In 2024, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute took 726th place in the "UI GreenMetric World University Ranking".This ranking evaluates universities' achievements in the areas of environment, energy, climate change, waste management, transport and sustainable development.

This year, 1,477 universities from 95 countries took part in the ranking, a specialist from the institute’s scientific department told the editors of Turkmenportal.

The "UI GreenMetric World University Ranking" evaluates universities based on several indicators based on sustainable development goals.In particular, areas taken into account include higher education infrastructure, climate change and energy, waste, water, transport, science and research.

The Turkmen Agricultural Institute carries out effective research work in these areas, which has allowed it to take a worthy place in the international rankings.

It is worth noting that this prestigious ranking includes 11 higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan. Active participation in such rankings enhances the international reputation of the country’s universities, helps improve the quality of student education, increases interest in research work and achieving sustainable development goals.
