The Residence of the Ambassador of Türkiye in Ashgabat on Wednesday hosted a an event commomerating Türkiye’s Victory Day (Zafer Bayramı), also known as Turkish Armed Forces Day.
The event was attended by Deputy Defense Minister of Turkmenistan B. Soltanov, representatives of international organizations, heads of diplomatic missions and mass media.
In his speech at the event, Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the visitors attending the event dedicated to the 101st anniversary of Türkiye’s Victory Day. The Ambassador then presented the message sent by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During his speech, B. Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Defense of Turkmenistan, congratulated the participants on Türkiye’s Victory Day and the 101st anniversary of the Turkish Armed Forces.
At the end of the event, the guests were offered Turkish cuisine.
Annually on August 30, Turkey celebrates a national holiday Victory Day commemorating the victory of Turkish troops in the Battle of Dumlupınar in 1922. Victory Day celebrations are held across the country, including parades, concerts and the performance of the Janissary March to commemorate Türkiye’s military victories.
