Turkish Airlines sets a world record for countries covered by flights

Türkiye’s national carrier has officially entered the Guinness World Records as the airline that flies to the largest number of countries in the world. The award ceremony took place at Santiago Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport after the company's first flight to Chile.

According to the criteria of the Guinness World Records, Turkish Airlines has reached a record of 120 active destinations in the last 12 months. Taking into account the temporarily suspended routes and the new flight to Chile, the airline's total route network covers 131 countries.

It is worth noting that Turkish Airlines has held the lead in terms of geographic coverage since 2012, and now this achievement has received official recognition from the Guinness World Records.
