Tuition-Paying Students in Turkmenistan to Receive Diplomas Without Internship Requirement

Students receiving paid education in secondary and higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan will now receive a diploma of higher education without a two-year-long mandatory internship.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed this Decree on June 23.The document was adopted following Article 30 of the Law of Turkmenistan "On Legal Acts”.According to the document, amendments, and additions were made to the Regulation "On Approval of the Regulation on the Referral to Work of Graduates of Secondary and Higher Professional Education Institutions," approved by Presidential Decree No. 1113 of February 3, 2019, the official media of Turkmenistan reported.

According to the Orient web edition, students of any specialty, except those studying medicine and pedagogy, can get a diploma without the two-year-long mandatory internship.

Turkmenistan's higher educational institutions held a diploma awarding ceremony on Wednesday without a two-year-long compulsory internship.
