The specialists of the Lebapnebitgazgözleg of Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation have begun drilling well No. 5 at the Agarguyy site, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reports.
The well is reportedly located near the Malay gas field. The design depth of the well is 3300 meters.
Lebapnebitgazgözleg also carries out drilling works of two wells at the Uzynada field. In 2020, the specialists received an industrial gas inflow from a depth of 7,000 meters. The department’s plan was fulfilled by 120%.
The inflow of natural gas received confirms the correctness of the chosen course for the study and involvement of new equipment in the development of the Uzynada field, according to the report.
During a working meeting in early February, the Head of the Türkmengeologiýa SC Merdan Roziyev informed the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that currently geophysical research works, including using 2D and 3D methods are underway in potential oil, gas and gas condensate fields.
