Teachers and students of the Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli successfully participated at the International Mathematical Olympiad, held on November 13-18 in Krakow (Republic of Poland).
Among them are teacher of the Applied Mathematics and Informatics Department Palvan Agamuradov and the same faculty’s 5th course students Agaserdar Yollyev, Ilshat Valiev and Dovran Nurgeldiev took the 2nd places, the 3rd course student of the above-mentioned faculty Murad Chashemov won the 3rd place.
The University national team was the best among 20 teams and was awarded a special diploma on behalf of the Olympiad organizers.
Turkmen mathematicians competed with rivals from Poland, the Russian Federation, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Macedonia, Romania, the Republic of Belarus.
Another victory of our compatriots at the International Olympiad is one of the many evidences of successful implementation of large-scale innovative educational reform.
Our students’ awards on such level intellectual competitions are clearly demonstrating the growing potential of domestic university science and multifaceted talent of the Turkmen youth, having an opportunity to fully realize their potential and achieve not just professional goals, but success in life.
