The final of the basketball competition among university teachers took place at the sports complex of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports as part of the XIII Universiade under the motto “Turkmenistan is a country of inspiration and health,” Neutral Turkmenistan reports.
8 teams from different institutes of Ashgabat took part in the tournament. In the decisive match, the home team of the site, the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, won with a score of 39:21. Her opponent was the team from the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics.
Experience and motivation played a key role in the success of the winners - the teachers of the sports university really wanted to win the tournament.The team leader was coach Kerim Kiyathanov, who scored more than half of his team's points.
The Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics took second place, and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction took third place.
At the end of the final, the winners were congratulated by the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports. The award ceremony will take place after all competitions of the Universiade.
