Trades at Turkmen Exchange for September Last Week: $37.5 Million

The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) over the past week amounted to $37.5 million. The transactions involved various products and attracted business representatives from several countries, the country’s official media reported on Monday.

Companies from the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, and Georgia purchased technical kerosene and polypropylene of “Türkmennebit” (Turkmen Oil) State Concern. The Emirati businesses bought carbamide of “Türkmenhimiýa” (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern.

Businesses from Turkey, Scotland, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan concluded deals for the purchase of smooth dyed and jacquard terry products, cotton yarn, and cotton fabric.

For the domestic market, local entrepreneurs purchased polypropylene of “Türkmennebit” SC worth 5.4 million manat.

Throughout the week, a total of 16 transactions were registered at the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan.
