The sixth China-Eurasia Expo 2018 opened in Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in the far northwest of the People's Republic of China. The exposition is held under the motto: "Wide Discussion, Joint Development and Joint Participation in the project on revival of the trade Silk Road: opportunities and possibilities".
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Vice Premier of the State Council Hu Chunhua expressed satisfaction with the growth dynamics of the business cooperation of China with the countries located along the Great Silk Road. He called the forum participants to widen cooperation in the trading sphere and find new growth area for mutually beneficial partnership.
The exhibition is held at the National Exhibition Center of Urumqi, where 700 Chinese and foreign companies have presented their stands.Among the participants of the economic forum are the representatives of ministries and departments, as well as business communities from 35 countries.
The pavilions of foreign countries showcase the achievements and potential in the sphere of trade and services, the Chinese exposition acquaints the visitors with the country's achievements in the sphere of industry and high technologies.
Turkmenistan is represented by nine leading travel agencies. Among them are Ahalsyahat, Ashgabatsyahat, Dashoguzsyahat, Ayan, Atlas, etc. The stand is decorated with the elements of the national symbols and decor. The Turkmen pavilion presents a video-clip about the upcoming international rally "Amul-Hazar 2018".
The national stand also showcases the textile exposition, prepared with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People’s Republic of China. The articles and fabrics presented at the exposition arouse particular interest among the visitors.
In the framework of the forum, the Turkmen delegation held the bilateral meetings with the representatives of the tourism industry of China.
During a dinner that the Mayor of Urumqi gave in honour of the delegation of our country, it was emphasized the achievements and potential of the tourism and textile industries of the national economy of Turkmenistan. The Chinese side suggested to enhance the trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between the cities in Turkmenistan and Urumqi.
In general, the Turkmen exposition at the China-Eurasia Expo 2018 has demonstrated the growing interest in our country, its economic, investment and tourist potential, the history, culture and traditions of the Turkmen people.
The second Turkmen-Chinese tourist forum was organized in the framework of the China-Eurasia Expo 2018 with the participation of the representatives of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and the city of Urumqi and the leading travel agencies in this region of China.
