Top Turkmen Diplomat Met With Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara

On 13 August 2024, President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, who is on a visit to Ankara.

The head of MFA of Turkmenistan conveyed to the President of the Republic of Türkiye greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to collaboration in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed.

The parties expressed deep satisfaction with the pace of development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Türkiye, underlining mutual strive to strengthen further the partnership in bilateral and multilateral formats.

The sides also exchanged views on relevant issues of regional and international agenda of mutual interest.
