On May 7, Kazakhstan celebrates Defender of the Mohterland Day. On this occasion, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated his compatriots by addressing them with a message of greeting.
“This holiday is of particular importance not only for military personnel, but for our entire society. The defense of the country is the sacred duty of every citizen, a vivid manifestation of true patriotism”, - read Tokayev’s congratulations, published on his official website.
According to the head of state, “a constant increase in defense capability is one of the strategic tasks of Kazakhstan”. Tokayev also noted that the Armed Forces act as “a reliable guarantor of the country's sovereignty and integrity, a bulwark of the people's unity and confidence in the future”.
The President of Kazakhstan thanked all the soldiers and officers for their loyalty to the oath and the impeccable performance of duty. At the end of the message, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished his compatriots health, prosperity and a peaceful sky over their heads.
