The visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan has ended

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s working visit to Kyrgyzstan ended today, where he took part in the summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Watan information program reported.

The head of state flew to Ashgabat from Manas International Airport in Bishkek. He was seen off at the airport by high-ranking officials of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During his visit to Bishkek, Serdar Berdimuhamedov also had a conversation with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. The parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral relations in various fields, including trade and economic, political and diplomatic and cultural and humanitarian.

At the Ashgabat airport, the head of state was greeted by officials, including the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Turkmenistan Azizbek Madmarov.

Madmarov congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on the successful visit and emphasized the active role of the country in the development of fruitful relations in the CIS.

The parties expressed confidence that the high-level meetings held in Bishkek will give new impetus to Turkmen-Kyrgyz cooperation, as well as long-term intergovernmental cooperation within the CIS.
