The United Nations Organization has fulfilled the Turkey’s request to change the name of the country in all official documents.
Now, the name of the country in all international forums and official documents will look like Türkiye, not Turkey. On the eve, the head of the Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu announced the submitting of an official request to change the name of the country.
As the diplomat noted, the novelty is adopted in the frame of steps aimed at increasing the prestige of the country in the international arena, daily.afisha reports.
