The UAE will host driverless car races for the first time in history

The world's first rally of unmanned vehicles will be in Abu Dhabi next April, writes the “Russian Emirates” publication. Ten teams will take part in the competition, and the racers will be programmers who specialize in writing codes according to given specifications.

The competition will be at the Formula 1 Yas Marina circuit. Two weeks before the competition, a trial training run will be on the track. The cars of the participating teams have the same design, but different software. Within the framework of the self-driving car races, there will also be a sand dune buggy rally.

Autonomous car racing is a great way for developers of this type of transport to demonstrate their achievements, conduct tests in real conditions and improve unmanned vehicles.
