The UAE to supply Turkmenistan with military vehicles

UAE-based NIMR, a manufacturer of special operations vehicles, has concluded a contract to supply military vehicles to Turkmenistan, the website Arabian Business with reference to a company representative reports.

According to the agreement, light armoured vehicles, deployed in a border security role, were supplied to Turkmenistan. The number of vehicles is not specified.

According to NIMR’s CEO Dr Fahad Saif Harhara Al Yafei, the contract with Turkmenistan represents an important milestone for the company as it validates the quality and competitiveness of the vehicles in the global marketplace.

The vehicles were delivered in October and were featured at the Turkmenistan Independence Day Parade.

Let us recall that in April 2017 Turkmenistan’s Deputy Defense Minister Yusup Mukhammetgulyev met with the UAE’s Defense Minister Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi in Abu-Dhabi.
