A delegation from the United Arab Emirates visited Ashgabat and held a number of meetings with the heads of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, reports the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan.
At the negotiations, issues of cooperation in the field of water and agriculture, environmental protection, investment and energy were discussed, and opportunities for developing interaction through the media were also considered.
In particular, the Chief Managing Director of Sustainable Water Solutions (Abu Dhabi) Ahmed Al-Shamsi and the UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hameli held a meeting with the Chairman of the State Water Resources Committee of Turkmenistan Durdy Genjiyev.
At the meeting, the parties discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of sustainable water solutions.
Issues of investment cooperation in the field of water use were discussed at a meeting with the Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahimberdy Jepbarov.
Negotiations were also held with the Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan Annageldy Saparov, during which prospects for cooperation in the field of energy and sustainable water solutions were discussed.
At a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan for Agriculture, Water Resources and Environment Tanryguly Atahalliyev, ways to develop cooperation between countries in the field of agriculture and water use were discussed.
Director General of the Emirati news agency WAM Mohammed Jalal Al-Raisi and the UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hameli held talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan for Media and Culture Mahrijemal Mammedova, as well as Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography Arslan Ashyrov.
At the meeting, ways to develop cooperation in the media sphere were discussed.
There was also a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova. The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of interaction between countries in the field of journalism and media.
