The UAE delegation discussed issues of cooperation and participation in COP28 in Turkmenistan

A delegation of the UAE Federal National Council, led by a member of the Federal National Council and Vice-President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, visited Turkmenistan.

According to the press service of the diplomatic department, during the visit, the delegation, accompanied by the UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hameli, met with the Chairman of the Mejlis, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mahri Bashimova.

The parties discussed ways to intensify political, parliamentary and economic relations between the two countries, as well as the participation of Turkmenistan in COP 28 at the highest level.

It is noted that during the visit, the delegation also took part in seminars on countering terrorism and extremism, organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Turkmenistan.
