The Turkmen team shows good results at the start of the World Kurash Championship

Winner of the gold medal of the 2019 World Cup and the bronze medal of the 19th Summer Asian Games in Hangzhou, Ainur Amanova, won her first victory at the 2023 World Kurash Wrestling Championship, which started today in Ashgabat.

The representative of the women's national team of Turkmenistan achieved this success in the weight category up to 52 kg. Having entered the competition from the quarterfinals, the Turkmen athlete defeated Moldovan Vera Zori and made it to the semifinals of the tournament, guaranteeing herself at least a bronze medal in the championship.

Today at the championship competitions were held in 8 weight categories. In the matches of the day, Turkmen athletes Ayshirin Haydarova and Ruslan Esgerov also reached the semifinals, and Sanzhar Abdyrahmanov reached the quarterfinals.
