The Turkmen table tennis team improves its skills at a training camp in Tashkent

The Turkmenistan table tennis team among cadets born in 2012 and 2013 takes part in a training camp in Tashkent, organized as part of the development program of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) - 2023 ITTF Central Asian Hopes Week & Challenger. Representatives from Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan also take part in the event.

The Turkmen team includes: Atahan Pygamov, Mukam Artykov and Dortguly Allanazarov, the Table Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan reported.

The training camps are held annually in one of the Central Asian countries. They are aimed at developing table tennis in the region and identifying talented and promising players.

As part of the training camp, educational and methodological classes for trainers are also held. Turkmenistan is represented by two young coaches: Annaev Sanjar (Ashgabat) and Agaorazov Begench (Mary).

These camps are conducted by international ITTF expert trainer Mamata Prabhu from India. According to the coach, Turkmen tennis players show a good game in general, and these training camps will further improve their sports skills.

During the gathering, the Chairman of the Table Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan, Agamurat Allanazarov, held a meeting with the leadership of the Uzbek Table Tennis Federation and coaches from other countries. At the meeting, they exchanged opinions and experiences, and also agreed on further cooperation between the federations of Central Asia.
