By the decision of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, Rovshen Mukhadov was appointed head coach of the national team.He headed the national team of Turkmenistan in 2000, later he was the head coach of the Olympic team and at the same time managed the youth team of the country, preparing it for the Commonwealth Cup.
Rovshen Mukhadov was also the coach of the Nusay and Akhal teams.
Rovshen Mukhadov is the first Turkmen legionnaire to sign a professional contract with the Genclerbirligi Turkish team (Ankara) together with Alexey Kozlov.
The ORIENT correspondent talked to the specialist and learned about his future plans in working with the Turkmen national team.
Rovshen Mukhadov will prepare the team for the qualifying matches of the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar, as well as the 2023 Asian Cup in China.
The national team of Turkmenistan plays in H group together with the teams of the Republic of Korea, Lebanon, North Korea and Sri Lanka.Having scored a total of 9 points, Turkmenistan is now in first place.
“To date, the coaching staff of the national team sets the task of reaching the next stage of the World Championship qualifying cycle,” said the coach.
The new coach plans to hold two test games in South Korea, where a centralized tournament of the second round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifier will be held.
“We will study the opponents, analyze their weaknesses and strengths, pay special attention to the team game, both in defense and attack.We plan to focus on those of our players who have passed the first five games and have solid experience behind them, as well as on those players who will be in optimal condition at that time.”
It should be noted that in 2003, under the leadership of Rovshen Mukhadov, the youth national team of Turkmenistan reached the final of the Asian Championship. Now he is at the helm of the national team to achieve new victories together.
“There have always been and will be talented players in Turkmenistan. And we are proud of them,” he emphasized.
Like all boys in childhood, the future football player, and later coach, Rovshen Mukhadov played football in the courtyard of the house. And in the vicinity there was a stadium, which he regularly visited. Rovshen Mukhadov was trained by the outstanding specialist Valery Nepomnyashchy as part of the Kolkhozchi team (now Kopetdag). So, Mukhadov continued his path in football.
