The Russian stage of the international rally “Silk Way” 2024, which took place in the picturesque landscapes of the Altai Mountains, has ended. The special stage at an altitude of 1740-2400 meters above sea level required special training of equipment from the participants.
The Turkmen crew showed a high result in the T2 class off-road competition. Brothers Merdan and Shohrat Toylyev, representing the Turkmenavtoulaglary agency, took an honorable third place. First place went to the crew of Andrey Sushentsov and Alexander Shchanov, second place to Anton Melnikov and Anton Nikolaev, the Agency’s website reports.
It is worth noting that 7 crews compete in the T2 class, 3 of which represent the Automobile Sports Federation of Turkmenistan.
The Silk Road Rally will continue until July 15. Participants will have to overcome special stages in Mongolia, which will determine the final winners of the race.
