1.The third meeting of the International Association “Turkmen Alabai” was held in Ashgabat.The forum was attended by members of the Association, delegates from the Government, heads and specialists of specialized structures and universities of the country.
Foreign delegates who spoke at the forum emphasized the importance of collecting and exchanging information about the state of this unique breed, discussing issues of its breeding, preserving and increasing its numbers.
2. On the occasion of the Turkmen Alabai Holiday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on conferring on citizens of the country the honorary title of Honored Dog Breeder of Turkmenistan for great success in keeping Alabais and developing folk selection.
3.The opening ceremony of the festival in honor of the 85th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov was held at the National Music and Drama Theater of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly.
The festival will last two days.Within its framework, various cultural events will be organized in Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag and the velayats of the country.
4. On October 25-26, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov made an official visit to Turkey. Within its framework, high-level negotiations were held with the head of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkmen-Turkish business forum.
During the visit, special attention was paid to economic ties. Initiatives to create joint investment mechanisms and develop transport and logistics infrastructure were discussed.
Both countries have announced their intention to increase trade turnover. During the visit, the President of Turkmenistan and the head of Türkiye exchanged symbolic gifts. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented his Turkish colleague with a Turkmen Alabai puppy named Gardash. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in turn, presented the head of Turkmenistan with two Turkish Kangal puppies as a gift.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Recep Tayyip Erdogan to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan at a convenient time. The timing of the visit will be agreed upon later through diplomatic channels.
5.The international conference and exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2023” was attended by a record number of participants - more than 700 delegates from almost 50 countries.
Nazar Atajanov, director of the ES “Turkmen Forum”, stated this at a press conference following the event.More than 70 companies placed their stands at the OGT-2023 exhibition at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
Over three days, about 10 thousand people attended the show.
6.Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Park Jin will arrive in Turkmenistan to participate in the “Central Asia Republic of Korea” Cooperation Forum, which will be on November 1 in Ashgabat and will bring together about 200 delegates.
The forum will discuss issues related to various areas of cooperation, including ecology, healthcare, transport, information technology and education.

7.Belgium is tightening its anti-smoking measures.Starting from 2025, the sale of cigarettes will be prohibited in supermarkets larger than 400 square meters.The decision is part of the Belgian government's plan to reduce the country's smoking rate to 5% by 2040.

10.At the international tennis tournament in Karshi, Uzbekistan, young Turkmen athletes showed excellent results and won four gold medals.In singles among boys under 14 years old, Imran Akhundov became the best.
In the doubles tournament, the duo of Imran Akhundov and Selim Chagylov also rose to the top of the podium.In the women's part of the competition, Ilima Huseynova became the singles champion, beating all her opponents.
Turkmen tennis players competed at the tournament under the guidance of coaches Andrei Dovmatov and Yevgeniy Molchanov.
11.Young Turkmen chess players successfully performed at the World Championship among children under 8, 10 and 12 years old, which was held from October 15 to 26 in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh.
The best result was shown by Maksat Avlyakuliyev, who performed in the category among boys under 8 years old.Having scored 7 points out of 11 possible, he ended up in 19th place among 80 participants.
12.The Turkmenistan table tennis team among children born in 2012 and 2013 takes part in a training camp in Tashkent, organized within the framework of the development program of the International Table Tennis Federation.
Representatives from Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan also take part in the event.The camps are aimed at developing table tennis in the region and identifying talented and promising players.
