Turkmen athletes participated in the opening ceremony of the VII International Sports Games “Children of Asia” in Vladivostok (Russia) today. The ceremony was held on the territory of the “Fetisov Arena” cultural and sports complex.
The colorful event was attended by representatives of the countries participating in the competition: athletes, coaches, volunteers, representatives of sports delegations. Over 1300 athletes from 12 countries and eight regions of Russia participated in the parade of participants.
The standard-bearer of the Turkmen team was the representative of table tennis Ilyas Allanazarov. The delegation of Turkmenistan consists of 85 people, including 62 athletes, 16 coaches, 1 basketball referee, and also representatives of sports teams and officials.
Creative teams performed for the children, and the event ended with a festive firework display.
The “Children of Asia” Games have been held every four years since 1996. VII International Sports Games “Children of Asia” will be held in Vladivostok from July 28 to August 8. 273 sets of awards will be played at the games.
Athletes aged 13 to 16 will participate in the games.
Athletes of Turkmenistan will participate in nine sports 3x3 basketball, boxing, kurash wrestling, athletics, table tennis, swimming, sambo, wrestling (Greco-Roman and freestyle) and archery.
