The State Reference Center of Turkmenistan was opened in 2013.Over the 10 years of operation, the center has achieved significant success in the field of metrology.The head of the department of scientific, methodological, marketing and study of international practice of the institution, Ayna Soyunova, said that the center has 26 laboratories and 17 standards for types of measurements, reports the website CentralAsia.news.
In 2017, the Center received an international accreditation certificate from the Slovak National Accreditation Service SNAS, and in 2023 the accreditation was successfully extended for five years by the National Accreditation Body of Hungary (NAH).
The center is also involved in the storage of the State Flag of Turkmenistan. The flag is stored in specially created conditions that ensure its safety in all weather conditions.
Over the period of ten years of work, the Center actively collaborated with international metrological institutes and organizations. Within the framework of the cooperation, the State Reference Center of Turkmenistan received equipment and technical assistance from countries such as the UK, USA, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia and Georgia.
In the coming years, the Center plans to undergo international accreditation of several more laboratories, including laboratories for measuring mass, volume and temperature.
The State Reference Center plays an important role in the development of the economy of Turkmenistan. The center ensures the reliability of measurement results, which is necessary to ensure the quality of products and services, as well as the safety of citizens.
