The Second Meeting of Speakers of Parliaments of Central Asian Countries and the Republic of Korea will be held in Ashgabat

The second Meeting of Speakers of Parliaments of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea will be held in Ashgabat in 2024. This was announced following the results of the first forum, which took place on September 19, 2023 in Seoul.

The capital of Turkmenistan was chosen as the venue for the second forum, which indicates the growing importance of the country in the region.

The first Meeting of Speakers of Parliaments of the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea was devoted to discussing the priorities of regional cooperation. The main areas of cooperation were identified in the areas of energy, infrastructure, effective water resource management, industrial diversification, finance, education, healthcare and tourism.

The Second Meeting of Speakers of the Parliaments of the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea, which will be held in Ashgabat, will allow the parties to discuss the results of the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the first forum and outline new ways of cooperation.
