The news outlet PortNews reports that starting from 2019 the Russian company “Moscow tourist fleet” (Mosturflt) will launch the Caspian Sea cruises bound to Baku with port calls in Russia, Iran and Turkmenistan.
According to Svetlana Goncharova, deputy CEO of “Mosturflot”, cruises will be operated by “river-sea” vessels built in Russia.
“The cruises will start in Baku and then cruise ships will stop in Iran, Turkmenistan, cross the Caspian Sea with stops in Makhachkala and Derbent and come back to Baku”, — Goncharova explained.
The information on the price of sea voyages and visa is not yet available.

The tour which comprises a five day stay in Ashgabat with excursions to the cities of Mary and Dashoguz and a week in Thailand are offered at 195,000 Rubles or the equivalent of $3360.
A guide will be constantly accompanying visitors during their stay in Turkmenistan.
