The Romanian football club suspected that his twin brother was playing instead of the legionnaire from Guinea-Bissau

The scandalous story unfolds in the Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest. It is suspected that footballer Edgar Ye, who signed a contract in February, did not actually play for the team in five matches.

His twin brother Edelino may have taken the field instead.

Dinamo Bucharest were surprised to discover that Ie, despite a rich career in European championships, does not speak English and prefers to communicate in Portuguese.

The footballer also refused to provide the club with a driver's license, which further increased suspicions.

If the deception is confirmed, the Bucharest club could lose 8 points and face serious sanctions.

The Romanian Football Federation admitted that such cases are not covered by the regulations, but a DNA test could be the key to resolving this situation. This is reported by daily.afisha.ru with reference to Marca.

Edgar Ie, a 30-year-old native of Guinea-Bissau, tried his hand at the second team of Barcelona (2012-2015) and defended the colors of the youth, youth and main teams of Portugal. Since 2017, he has played for Lille, Nantes,

Trabzonspor and Istanbul Basaksehir, and has been representing his national team since 2023.

His twin brother Edelino played for the second teams of Sporting and Braga, as well as other Portuguese clubs. However, since January of this year he has not been part of any team.
