In Ashgabat, at the International Conference and Exhibition “International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development 2024”, one of the topics of discussion was the session “Women in Transport: Leadership and Growth Opportunities”.
As reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the round table brought together women who hold leadership positions and make a significant contribution to the development of this dynamically developing area.
The discussion of current issues was attended by the Chairperson of the National Center of Trade Unions and the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan Oguljennet Berdiliyeva, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Shoista Saidmurodzoda, and consultant on the development of transport corridors in the USAID “Trade in Central Asia” project Aizhan Beiseyeva.
The meeting was moderated by the Chairperson of the Council of Professional Consultants of Tajikistan (UPCT) Larisa Kislyakova.
The director of Dört Tarap Logistika Anna Titova, the director of Döwrebap ulag merkezi Mahri Arrykova and the expert in the field of transport and logistics Sahra Amanova shared their achievements and experience of participating in successful projects.
At the end of the event, Sakhra Amanova, representative of Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) in Turkmenistan, was awarded a certificate of membership in the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics CILT (UK).
Also, on behalf of CILT, a diploma for completion of the training program was presented to a graduate from Turkmenistan, Sabina Ibragimova, the source notes.
