The rivals of the men's team of Turkmenistan at the upcoming FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup-2023 have become known. The tournament with the participation of the strongest Asian teams will be held from March 29 to April 2 in Singapore.
24 men's teams registered to participate in the competition.
The national team of Turkmenistan, when seeded, got into the qualifying group B - along with New Zealand, the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Tonga.
To enter the main draw of the tournament, Turkmen basketball players need to take first place in the qualifying subgroup.
It should be noted that in case of success of the Turkmen basketball players, they will have to play with the national teams of Japan and Australia at the group stage of the Asian Cup.
The national men's team of Turkmenistan will be made up of Evgeny Nazipov, Annakuli Hojakuliyev, Merdan Hojamedov and Kerim Mammetmuradov. The head coach of the Turkmenistan men's 3×3 basketball team is Toyly Bayryyev.
At present time, basketball players, members of the men's and women's national teams of Turkmenistan, are holding training camps in Lithuania.
