The general meeting dedicated to the results of the work of the National Organization of Turkmenistan on Barcodes (NOTB) for 2022 and plans for the future was held on April 26 in the conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country.
Aykamar Myalikgulyyeva, Chairperson of the NOTB, made a detailed review of the activities of the organization for the designated period and the implementation of the work program of GS1 Turkmenistan for 2017-2023, which provides for the introduction of automatic identification technologies and GS1 standards in various sectors of the national economy of Turkmenistan.
The report noted the achievements of the organization in these areas and identified tasks for the coming period.
A positive assessment of the work of the NOTB was given in the speeches of its members - representatives of public and private structures.The importance of the organization's activities in the light of the tasks set for the development of public-private partnerships, the implementation of the Digital Economy Concept, the creation of new high-tech industries and the promotion of products of Turkmen producers to foreign markets was stated.
The meeting participants also heard a report on the activities of the Control and Audit Commission.
Let us remind that this year marks the 9th anniversary of the establishment of the National Organization of Turkmenistan on Barcodes. During this time, about 60 thousand barcodes have been issued. At present time, the organization unites 2350 members, including 569 from government agencies and 1781 from the private sector.
