Today the International Conference entitled “Policy of Neutrality and its Importance in Ensuring International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development" dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan took place in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
This grand event where the achievements of Turkmenistan in political, social, humanitarian, trade-economic and other spheres attained during the years of independence and neutrality were discussed has shown the success of the positive neutrality path selected by Turkmenistan.
At the event, the partners of Turkmenistan, countries and international organizations presented their vision of the success of Turkmen model of positive neutrality.It was underlined that one of the pillars of the neutrality policy is the international cooperation based on respect, openness and trust.
Upon the results of the International Conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov hosted a roundtable where the review of the event took place and the results were summed.
Thus, according to the outcomes of the International Conference entitled “Policy of Neutrality and its Importance in Ensuring International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development,” the Final Ashgabat Document was adopted.
