The Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications hosted an interuniversity conference dedicated to the implementation of the National Concept of the Digital Educational System, approved by a special presidential decree Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the beginning of the current academic year.
Participants of organized by the Ministry of Education at Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications the first inter-university forum for the active introduction of IT technologies into the educational process were engineers and professors of profile departments.
The presentation of the E-learning training center oriented on Moodle's international digital educational system at the State Energy Institute was of great interest. Aganiyaz Jumaev, the vice-rector for scientific work of the university, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences described it functions:
- The Moodle system was introduced in the educational process three years ago within the framework of the international project "Creation of electronic training centers in Central Asian universities".
The Ministry of Education, the Institute of Architecture and Construction, the International University of Oil and Gas and the Energy Institute represent the Turkmen side.The coordinators of the European Union are the Higher School of Entrepreneurship of Germany (Bielefeld), the University of Sofia Antipolis (Nice, France), the Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania).
The creation of electronic training centers at universities are the main goals of the project; development of a training manual "E-learning. Use and implementation in universities "; conducting trainings for teachers.
Participants completed a two-week training course in France. In the energy institute, structure was established an "E-learning" training center equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, the organization charter was developed, and the teacher of the Automation of Technical Systems Department Rejep Agayev appointed the head of the center on a volunteer basis.
The center's activities are focused on the efficiency of the educational process, motivating students to study the disciplines in depth on the chosen specialty. Teachers provide active advisory assistance, and the knowledge testing system makes possible to analyze the dynamics of academic performance and the research potential of future specialists.
Thanks to the statistics on the information materials use, university tutors in a remote format can observe the educational activity of students.
The Center also provides linguistic support to students in the university with representatives of Afghan youth, for whom a lecture cycle in English is organized. Another center activity is the organization of thematic lectures and master classes from international specialist and experts.
Within the framework of the project created an Internet portal of the center, as well as a local intranet network, whose services can be used on the territory of the university campus. This allows teachers and students to be in constant contact. Successfully is functioning the electronic library.
Aganiyaz Jumaev, describing the university's innovative training center experience, in particular, noted that the efficiency of introducing such digital educational systems into the educational process greatly contributes to the improvement of the teachers skills.
At the same time, the introduction of the Moodle system does not require additional financial costs, since it is distributed in the global network and, if necessary, you can create an educational and information portal in just a few hours.
Today, many universities in the world are active users of the Moodle system.
During the interuniversity forum, the Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications shared its experience in the training process of which the international Moodle system was introduced about a month ago. At the same time, Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications optimized the interface in accordance with the parameters of the educational model of our country.
The experience exchange relay was continued by other universities, where actively use the above-mentioned system.These are the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, the International University of Oil and Gas, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Oguzhan Engineering and Technology University and others.
Moreover, the last two of these universities use their improved versions.In International University for the Humanities and Development, for example, the course and diploma work of students is checked by the system for the presence of plagiarism.
Summing up the discussion, the meeting participants stressed the need to unite university information networks into a unified educational environment, to which other educational and educational structures of the country will subsequently join.
