Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that after the reconstruction of “Paytagt” bazaar the rental fee for retail outlets has doubled.
Now the rental fee for the premises occupying a space of 2 by 3 meters amounts to 1200 manats ($343 using the official rate or about $150 at “the black market rate”).
Tenants of retail outlets are outraged by the fact that rental fees are constantly increased whereas more restrictions on withdrawing cash overseas to purchase merchandise are being introduced.
Entrepreneurs report that due to increased costs they are urged to increase prices for their merchandise.
