The Prosecutor General of Russia paid a visit to Turkmenistan

Security issues were discussed with colleagues from Turkmenistan by the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov, who paid a working visit to Ashgabat.

As reports “MIR 24”, at a meeting with the Minister of Defense, Secretary of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan Begench Gundogdyev, the prospects for further cooperation were discussed.

And at the talks with the Turkmen Prosecutor General Serdar Myalikgulyev, the parties discussed the protection of the Caspian Sea, advanced training of law enforcement officers of the two countries, and other issues of mutual interest.

During the visit, Igor Krasnov also visited the memorial complex “People's Memory”, where he laid a wreath at the monument in honor of those who died during the Great Patriotic War and honored the memory of the victims of the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake.

Prior to his visit to Turkmenistan, the Prosecutor General of Russia visited Tajikistan, where he met with President Emomali Rahmon, and also signed with his Tajik counterpart Yusuf Rahmon the Program of Cooperation between Supervisory Agencies until 2024.
