Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications Mammethan Chakyev, during a Government meeting on Friday, presented a report to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the progress of the implementation of the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy. Particular attention was paid to the development of domestic production of IT equipment, TDH reports.
According to the report, Techno Merkez JSC is considering the possibility of launching the production of servers and data storage systems, as well as cybersecurity equipment.Along with this, in the future it is planned to provide maintenance and technical support for server devices, as well as the production of equipment necessary for smart city and smart home systems that meet international standards.
This will reduce dependence on imports, create new jobs and increase the level of domestic specialists.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov supported the initiative and instructed to continue work in this direction, emphasizing the importance of developing the digital economy for the country.
