President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the head of the Italian company Leonardo S.p.A. Stefano Pontecorvo, reports the State Information Agency TDH.
During the meeting, Pontecorvo confirmed his readiness to further develop fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the bilateral negotiations planned during the current visit of the head of Leonardo to Ashgabat will contribute to the expansion of effective business cooperation.
In the context of discussing priority areas of cooperation, it was noted that productive contacts established between Turkmenistan and Italian companies in the trade and economic sphere, energy and other industries, in the private sector play a significant role in strengthening constructive interstate dialogue. Over the past years, we have gained solid positive experience in partnerships with multifaceted potential.
Also during the meeting, the possibilities of using the potential of satellite communications were discussed. In this context, it was noted that, for its part, Turkmenistan is ready to consider specific proposals from the Italian company.
Expressing sincere gratitude to the head of state for the substantive, detailed conversation on current issues of cooperation, the businessman emphasized that Italian partners will continue to take the most serious and responsible approach to fulfilling their obligations.
