The President of Turkmenistan reappoints heads of diplomatic missions

On 4 July 2018 President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov made personnel appointments of higher-ranking executives of the Turkmen diplomatic missions.

Chary Atayev, who held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Tajikistan, was appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium.

Khemra Togalakov, who held the position of Ambassador to Afghanistan, was appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan.

Khodja Ovezov, who held the position of the Consul in Herat province was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Afghanistan.

Serdarmammet Garadzhayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates, was also appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Iraq.

Aimyrat Gochmyradov was relieved of the post of Vice Consul of Turkmenistan’s Consulate Office in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif and appointed Consul in Herat, Afghanistan.
