Five Toyota Fortuner SUVs and 2 Toyota Camry cars will be received as a gift from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the winners of the World Kurash Wrestling Championship, which was held in Ashgabat. Turkmen athletes won 15 medals of various denominations at this prestigious tournament.
According to the MIC, the honoring ceremony took place today in Ashgabat as part of the international conference dedicated to the year “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar”. The winners will receive 5 Toyota Fortuner SUVs, and 2 Toyota Camry cars will be their coaches.
More than 180 athletes from 45 countries took part in the World Championships in Ashgabat, which took place from November 23 to 28.Turkmen athletes won 5 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Dinara Rozykulova (weight category up to 63 kg), Mariya Lohova (up to 70 kg), Vepa Avlyakuliyev (up to 60 kg), Sabina Kadyrova (up to 78 kg) and Dayanch Omirov (up to 81 kg) rose to the highest step of the podium.
It was also noted that Dortkuli Tejenov, who led the men’s team, and Shirin Kubayeva, who led the women’s team, were awarded the honorary title “Honored Coach of Turkmenistan.”
