President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to gather a rich rice harvest in Turkmenistan in 2023 by signing the relevant Decree today, announced the “Watan” news program of the Turkmen television.
The document instructs the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the hyakimliks of the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, using scientifically based crop rotation, in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, to ensure the production of a rich harvest of rice in the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi etrap of the Dashoguz velayat, in Darganata, Danev, Chardzhev, Sayat, Halach, Hojambaz, Kerki and Koytendag etraps of the Lebap velayat.
In 2022, Turkmenistan planned to produce 82 thousand 400 tons of rice from 18 thousand 300 hectares of land.
Let us remind that only the farmers of Dashoguz and Lebap velayats are engaged in harvesting this agricultural crop in Turkmenistan.
