Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Ashgabat, familiarizing himself with the construction of a luxury hotel with a multi-profile business center “Karakum”. This facility, being built in the northern part of the capital, along A. Niyazov and Hoja Ahmet Yasava Street, is planned to be commissioned by the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
In the 9-storey building of the hotel, which is located on an area of 6.9 hectares, the project provides 87 comfortable rooms, including standard, suite, luxury and super luxury.
In addition, there are restaurants, a banquet hall, swimming pools, a fitness room equipped with various exercise machines, a tennis court, etc.The business center will create appropriate conditions for holding business meetings.
It is noteworthy that the architectural embodiment and design of the complex, located near the International Airport of the capital, reflects one of the unique natural attractions of Turkmenistan - the majestic Karakum desert with its unique landscapes.
The flowing contours of the central part of the building and the two side buildings resemble waves of sand. And the yurt, organically complementing the architectural ensemble, will emphasize the national flavor.
After reviewing the state of affairs at the facility, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that according to all criteria, including equipment and provision of high-quality service, the “Karakum” hotel must meet international standards and requirements for such new buildings.
The head of state entered one of the hotel rooms. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shamuhammet Durdylyev reported on the conditions created for the guests.
The “Karakum” hotel, the design and color scheme of which, including the golden color of the windows, correspond to its name, is intended to become a visible symbol of the triumph of the primordial traditions of hospitality for which the Turkmen people are famous.
As the leader of the nation noted, a special cultural program should also be developed for tourists and foreign guests coming to our country, including the organization of sightseeing tours to the sights of the capital.
In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that the hospitality sector should more actively attract the best world experience and advanced developments in order to effectively implement the opportunities available here.
The head of state also noted that a special, bright national flavor should be present in the external and internal design of specialized facilities, which will provide foreign guests with an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the rich original traditions of the Turkmen people.
At the same time, the leader of the nation reiterated that the main and indisputable requirement for both contractors and customers of new buildings is the high quality of work and a comprehensive approach to their implementation, including the timely commissioning of facilities.
After reviewing the projects of the hotel rooms, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the interior decoration of the halls in a single thematic composition, in the national spirit, noting that the finishing work must fully comply with international standards and be carried out using innovative technologies.
As the President of the country stressed, the hotel should provide all conditions for organizing and holding international forums of the highest level and other events. The green zones and fountains around the complex, delighting visitors, should clearly demonstrate how much attention is paid to environmental issues in Turkmenistan, the leader of the nation said.
The services provided here, as in all hotels in the country, must be of a high level and impeccable, in line with the age-old traditions of hospitality of our people, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, addressing specific instructions to the relevant leaders, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
